Heart Health Education: Athletes Take Heart

Athletes Take Heart™ is an outreach program targeting young athletes, teachers, coaches and parents to raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest, the importance of knowing CPR and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator. The message is that with community support, awareness, and proper training we will have the means and the methods to protect our youth when an unexpected, possibly fatal heart arrhythmia afflicts a seemingly healthy young athlete. This program focuses and targets primarily the high school and college aged population. The education and awareness these kids receive is sure to save lives and empower them to know what to do in an emergency situation.
