Cardiovascular Research at The Hope Heart Institute

The Hope Heart Institute is researching. Heart disease doesn't have to be the nation's leading cause of death.

Basic & Translational Scientific Research

In conjunction with The Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason, The Hope Heart Program conducts basic and translational science to find new avenues of combating heart disease through the study of cells, blood vessels and gene therapies. These scientific programs will change the way heart disease is treated and prevented in the future.

Clinical Research

Moving the findings from bench to bedside, cardiologists in The Hope Heart Clinical Research Program participate in advancing the latest medical breakthroughs. Patients receive the current standard of care plus enhanced individulized care with cutting-edge treatments (a medical device or drug therapy). The goal of clinical Research is to find better ways to detect, prevent, control, and treat heart conditions - moving medicine forward.
