THE HOPE HEART INSTITUTE ON WINGS OF HOPE 2016 BENEFIT

RAISES FUNDS FOR A HEALTHIER COMMUNITY

This gala is unlike any other.  It is fresh.  It is cool.  It is rock n’ roll.  No black ties or ball gowns -the style is denim, leather and the glitz of rock ‘n’ roll.  100% of net  funds raised at On Wings of Hope stay local to support risk-reduction and prevention education of cardiovascular disease; raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of heart attack; fund the installments of lifesaving AED’s and provide Hands Only CPR and AED training in the event of an emergency. www.hopeheart.org

The Hope Heart Institute’s 2016 On Wings of Hope benefit culminated January 29th at Showbox SODO, raising$300,000 to improve health outcomes for underserved and at-risk members of our community. More than 200 passionate stakeholders attended, notable guests including Seattle sports fan favorite Lenny Wilkens, three time NBA Hall of Fame inductee; Kevin Klock, CEO Talking Rain, Brad Harlow, CEO Cardiac Insight, Michael Lake, president, Alaskan Observers and Nancy and Ken Woomer – Owners of Competition Specialties and recipient of The Hope Heart Institute Community Partner of the Year award. Local residents and sisters Laurie and Jenny Campbell shared their personal story about surviving heart disease, encouraging all to heed critical warning signs and inspiring healthy lifestyle behaviors.

All event proceeds benefit the Hope Heart’s programs and services for tens of thousands of at-risk and medically underserved individuals. Programs include the Take Heart education series and innovative K-12 curriculum, and the Heart Restart community outreach program, which makes AED’s and CPR training more readily available.
